Everyone curates their online persona to a certain degree, and it’s natural to want to show the world the best version of yourself. However, it can become extremely dangerous when the line between reality and the virtual world is blurred. Throughout this project, I explored the idealisation and performative nature of social media which has become increasingly apparant in our culture. With this theme I expose this performative beauty by using irony to help highlight the oversaturation and inescability of idealised imagery on social media.
